There are many different counseling approaches used in addressing mental health issues; our clinical foundation focuses on individualizing and customizing the treatment plan to meet the clients’ needs. Frequently, we see clients with both substance abuse and mental health problems—we start where the client is…i.e. with their perception of the problem, where they define the point of pain. We individualize the care plan which is recognition and understanding of each client’s unique qualities and the ability to tap those qualities in problem solving.

We believe that gathering pertinent and meaningful information from the client offers them the opportunity to tell their story and share in a plan to solve their coping problems. The counselor allows the client to purposefully express feelings that will be advantage to meeting the goal of treatment.
